House of Finn Juhl × Rick Tegelaar — exhibition

We are proud to present a special exhibition that brings together the timeless design of House of Finn Juhl and the innovative signature of Rick Tegelaar.

Finn Juhl never originally set out to become a furniture designer. His world began with art, and you can see it in everything he created. Where many of his contemporaries in the 1940s and ’50s pursued a strict functionalism, Finn Juhl brought softness, freedom and humanity to his designs.

His furniture almost seems to be in motion. Organic forms, sculptural lines and a remarkable sense of space give his work a character entirely its own.

Sculptural, but above all human.

Christian Poulsen, partner at House of Finn Juhl, helps carry forward Finn Juhl’s remarkable legacy. On the opening night, Christian will give an introduction to Finn Juhl’s life and work.

During the exhibition we invite you to discover a carefully curated selection from the House of Finn Juhl collection — an ode to his timeless vision and exceptional artistic talent.

Rick Tegelaar is known for his innovative use of materials and technique, combined with a refined sense of aesthetics. In his work he transforms everyday materials into remarkable design objects. A telling example is the Meshmatics Chandelier for Moooi, in which Rick turns chicken wire into a sculptural light fitting that has grown into an internationally recognised design classic.

In this exhibition we present Tabby: a modular light structure in which refined design and innovative lighting come together. The design offers a versatile range of lighting effects and, thanks to its modular character, can be adapted to the space and to the wishes of its user.
